/> Doug was great all the way around. My girlfriend and I had considered going to see the memorial on our own and I am so glad that we chose against it. There is so much to learn and see that we would never have discovered without Doug. He knows the city and the memorial to a tee. It was a cold day on New Years Eve but he was in no rush at all and answered any question that we could throw at him. An extremely nice person — we cannot wait to go back and see more of the city on another tour!

9/11 Memorial and WTC Tour
I have been to the 9/11 memorial a number of times and thought this would be something different to try. I’m SO GLAD I did. Doug was very informative and there were many things he talked about and showed us that I never knew before. I recommend this tour to anyone. I’m also looking into his other tours and to see if I can schedule one or more of them.

Very informative 9/11 Memorial tour
We had a terrific experience with Doug. He possessed and demonstrated thorough history of both lower manhattan and 9/11. He made certain we all saw the various 9/11 memorials which have been built. Doug was also considerate of his group and was willing to adjust his tour due to the weather. All members of the tour arrived early so we were able to start on time. I would definitely use Doug as a guide again in the future.

Doug Fox 9/11 Memorial & World Trade Center Tour
Doug’s background knowledge, delivery and experience was excellent. I would thoroughly recommend Doug’s tour, to truly understand the events leading up to 9/11, the aftermath and the future.

Interesting and Informative
The tour was very interesting and informative. Doug Fox did a very articulate and organized presentation which included photographs of past conditions, previous proposals and current and proposed developments of the area. Mr. Fox demonstrated a very thorough and in depth knowledge of the history and politics surrounding the redevelopment of the area and the design of the new buildings and memorial. You will be able to circumvent the long lineup for unguided visits. Definitely carry a camera and wear comfortable shoes. Tour is approximately two hours but wont feel like it.

5 friends tour WTC
Doug met us exactly where he said he would. We had a 2 1/2 hr tour of the World Trade Center Memorial including the Firemen’s Memorial, the actual site of the memorial pools, Saint Paul’s Church, and the American Express Memorial (the end of the tour but definitely NOT to be missed). Doug was very informative and knowledgeable about the whole area. He was ready to answer any questions. The cost of the tour was very reasonable compared to others advertised. I would recommend Doug’s tour to everyone!!

Tour Guide Plus!
Doug was terrific! His presentation provoked lots of questions from the audience, and he didn’t disappoint us with his answers. His knowledge of the site history and the evolution of the design was extensive. After the tour, Doug stayed around to chat with people with lingering questions. Like all good tour guides, he was open to suggestions and seemed interested in further educating himself to perfect the tour. We traded book titles and other resources, and I intend on inviting Doug to lecture to a non-profit group of which I am a member, the Construction Specifications Institute. I recommend Doug to any person or group interested in getting a royal tour of the site.

Very Well Done
This was one the highlights of our trip. Doug Fox presented the facts very well. He was able the answer all of the groups question. I would highly recommend Doug for your 911 Memorial tour. I would recommend dress warm if your tours in November. Thanks Doug for your time and talent! Look forward to possible tours in the future.

Excellent
My wife and I decided to spend our Anniversary in the city. We had no regrets with our decision. Mr. Fox’s tour of the 9/11 site was informative, and never dull. His knowledge of all the tragedies and all that has been and will be done at the memorial site was remarkable and well presented. My wife and I will be returning in the near future with our children, and hopefully by able to enjoy the tour again, but maybe this time it can include the museum and the finished Path hub. Well done Mr. Fox!!!!!!!

A NYC Must
Doug is a NYC tour guide who is exceptionably knowledgeable about the city’s history and architectural past as well as the rebuilding process which he incorporates in the 9/11 Memorial and World Trade Center Walking Tour. We were able to ask questions along each segment of the route as he was not driven by a clock but rather a desire to share his superb knowledge with the group. Tour took about 3 1/2 hours, and proved to be a highly enlightening and enjoyable experience. I would highly recommend to others as it is a very comprehensive tour that leaves one with a greater understanding of the Memorial and New York City’s past, present, and future.

Very Insightful and inclusive NYC Architect Experience
I loved how Doug shared rich information about the New York City’s landscape and 9/11 Memorial landmark throughout the tour. He displayed pictures that made it easy for us to understand the scenes behind 9/11 Memorial and World Trade Center. As a New Yorker all my life, I have never felt so enriched with the wealth of knowledge on New York City’s landscape and architect before. It was definitely a pleasant and wonderful experience. I also loved how we skipped long lines of people before admitting to the 9/11 Memorial and World Trade Center. Overall, it was AWESOME!

Great Tour!
Doug gave a really interesting and informative tour and he catered it to our interests. He also allowed some quiet time so we could view the memorial. And he was very patient with those people that ask annoying questions!

New York in Focus
Just GO! Doug’s affability, knowledge and organization is a win-win-win! He brings a depth of understanding to the emotion-charged 9/11 sites’ architectural complexities which illuminate the past, the evolving present before us and the sights to behold in the future. I was particularly taken by the cross-city and trans-world connections that he made between the architectural projects in front of us, and how those related to other projects in various parts of the city or in other cities of the world. And this macro-knowledge contrasted with the micro-knowledge of the heating elements of the 9/11 Memorial or the technological marvels of the new glass curtain walls, gave a multiple shift of scale that brought the contrasts of our City into engaging focus. And all of this in the context of the feeling of going out for a walk with a good friend who just happens to know a lot about everything around us! I look forward to going out with him again and learning more!

Private and Group Tours

Home-Page

9/11

9/11 memorial

corporate

families

group tour

not-for-profit

private tour

schools

World Trade Center
<guid
